Keeper Rules
Rule: Each team has the option to keep 1 player going into the following season. The cost of keeping 1 player is the draft pick in which the player was drafted (their 2011 draft position).

Example 1: I draft Adrian Peterson in Round 1 of the 2010 draft. If I want to keep him in 2011, I forfeit my 2011 1st round pick. If I trade AP to someone else during the 2010 season, and that team wants to keep him, then they forfeit a 1st round draft pick in 2011 (i.e. the draft pick follows the player).

Example 2: I draft Shonne Greene in round 6 of the 2010 draft. If I want to keep him in 2011, I forfeit my 6th round draft pick.

Going into year 3 (2012), if a team wants to keep the same player kept from the 2010 draft, then regardless of where the player was drafted, the cost jumps up to a first round draft pick. This is designed to promote the top players going back into the draft after a couple of years.

The maximum number of years any player can be kept on 1 team is 3 years. Again, this is to promote the turnover of the best players.

Free Agent Keepers: If a player picked up on the waiver wire is kept, that team forfeits their 5th round draft pick the following year. If a player picked up on the waiver wire is kept a second year, that team forfeits their 1st round draft pick the following year. If a player drafted in rounds 1-4 is dropped, then picked up again, and a team wants to keep that player they forfeit the same draft pick (i.e. you can't drop a high draft pick with the plan of picking them back up and only losing a 5th round pick).

Trading Keepers: A max of 1 future draft pick 1 year out can be traded for players during the season. No offseason trades will be allowed (after Week 10). A team cannot trade a draft pick AND keep the player they drafted.

Entry Fee:  $75 per team, unlimited transactions and trades.
Payouts:

  • Super Bowl Winner = $350
  • Super Bowl Runner Up = $200
  • Regular Season Champ = $100
  • Most Regular Season Points = $100
